"This is probably the coarsest snuff I have ever tried, and possibly also the strongest. Coarse, dark, moist and plain, and as such it is truly excellent. On first opening the practical plastic tub (perfect for re-use, of course) I was struck by a powerful blast of ammonia, indicating super-freshness. Having tipped out the snuff and spread it out on a sheet of paper to air for a few hours, the ammonia dissipated allowing enjoyment of the snuff itself. The flavour is relatively complex for a plain snuff. It's earthy and leathery with more than a hint of the farmyard. It does take a fair old sniff to get it to stay in the nose, but that is no hardship and I can understand why some users choose to dry and grind it more finely. Me, I'm enjoying it very much as it is."
"This is the most coarse south african snuff on the market I don't know if I want to snuff it up my nose or put it under my lip. This is a plain tobacco; nothing to get in the way except the heavy grind and I put the fix on that as well with just a couple spins in the coffee grinder, perfect. Ntsu Black delivers some serious nicotine and it doesn't waste time letting you know. So when you just want plain tobacco and a good nicotine hit. This is it. As with all heavy snuff keep tissues close at hand. Suitable for the beginner snuff user and challenging enough for the average pinch snuffer."
"VERY coarse grind, moist and HUGE nicotine. I'm a big fan of vitamin N so bought this stuff after reading a few reviews and people claiming this to be the strongest there is. No doubt about it, it's on par with Taxi Red (which I like very much). Strongest there is? Might be. This snuff needs to breathe a moment when you open a fresh can, lots of ammonia/manure smell but that goes away in a few minutes and you can enjoy a rich earthly plain tobacco with a kick of an angry mule! Only thing that bothers me with this (and why I prefere Taxi Red) is the extra coarse grind. It's so coarse that you end up shoveling and pushing it up your nose rather than sniffing. Not a big minus but worth mentioning."
